Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2024. This policy explains how HULO LOGISTICS LTD collects, processes, and protects personal data in connection with its freight and logistics services.

1. Who We Are

HULO LOGISTICS LTD is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in connection with our freight forwarding, cargo transportation, and supply chain services.

Registered in England and Wales. Enquiries relating to this policy may be directed to support@hulologistics.com.

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal data you provide directly: name, business email address, telephone number, company name, and shipment details submitted through our contact and enquiry forms.

We also collect technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session duration via server logs and analytics cookies. No sensitive personal categories are collected.

3. How We Use Your Data

Personal data is used exclusively to respond to freight enquiries, process service agreements, and manage ongoing shipment communications. We do not sell, rent, or profile your data for third-party marketing.

Lawful bases: contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) for enquiry and service processing; legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for website security and analytics; legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) for applicable record-keeping.

4. Data Sharing

We share personal data only with sub-processors necessary for service delivery: customs agents, port authorities, and bonded warehouse operators involved in your shipment. All processors operate under data processing agreements.

International transfers outside the UK and EEA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions. We do not transfer data to jurisdictions without appropriate safeguards.

5. Retention Periods

Enquiry and contact records are retained for 24 months from last interaction. Shipment and contractual records are retained for 7 years to satisfy UK tax and customs obligations.

Technical log data is retained for 90 days. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form for up to 26 months. On expiry, records are securely deleted or anonymised.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR and applicable international data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any right, submit a written request to support@hulologistics.com. We respond within 30 days. No fee is charged for standard requests. Identity verification may be required before data is disclosed.

7. Cookies

This site uses strictly necessary cookies for session management and analytics cookies to measure page performance. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent via the cookie banner.

Full details of cookies in use, their duration, and opt-out instructions are provided in our Cookie Policy.

8. Security Measures

Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2 or higher. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis. We conduct periodic security reviews of systems that process personal data.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active service contacts.
